Honda City Vehicles have gone through a slight decrease in their retail price recently. This model has gone through an overall fall in its selling price.
The selling price for Honda City cars has fallen during the last 6 months we have analyzed. In April the price for a car is ₱ 933,147 increasing till ₱ 987,935 in May. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from ₱ 960,541 to ₱ 935,867.5. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -23 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from ₱ 948,204.25 to ₱ 730,694.
The average price for Honda City has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2018, the average price is ₱ 285,827.69. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (₱ 101,500) moving up till (₱ 596,550)in 2018. During the next two years (2019, 2020) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 118 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 14 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₱ 727,736.5) and the the last two years that were studied (2021, 2023) with a price of ₱ 831,916.5.
The graph that displays the price for Honda City cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 72 % more affordable than the average price (₱ 724,088). Next with a price of ₱ 516,725 and a mileage range of "50,000 - 100,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 19% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at ₱ 573,364.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Honda City cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 72 % less expensive than the average market price (₱ 724,088) followed by "Gasoline" priced at ₱ 321,000. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Gasoline". It´s price is 56 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Diesel" with a price of ₱ 201,188.
