Foton Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Foton cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₱ 526,813. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₱ 675,462. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from ₱ 601,137.5 to ₱ 657,152. The average price has risen 8 % during the last two months. This result was obtained based on the price for the first four months (PRECIO1!) and the price (₱ 677,463) during February and March.
The average price for Foton has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2010 and 2018, the average price is ₱ 546,637.75. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2010 (₱ 359,333) moving up till (₱ 671,500)in 2018. During the next two years the average price(₱ 552,694.5) has hardly changed, remaining at a constant value compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 18 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₱ 671,958.25) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2021, 2022) with a price of ₱ 791,222.
The graph that displays the price for Foton cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 49 % more affordable than the average price (₱ 805,650). Next with a price of ₱ 554,923 and a mileage range of "50,000 - 100,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 20% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" priced at ₱ 597,242.
